Home Schooling and Teaching Kids to Think
It often seems in the public school system that we are teaching children memorization rather than teaching them to think. Although a lot has been done to upgrade the public school system an insure that every kid gets the proper education, unfortunately the No Child Left Behind Act does not help teach kids to think all the time.
In fact it may do just the opposite. It may be teaching kids to answer a specific question to a specific problem and that would be memorization and not actually thinking. Although each kid would benefit from getting information and learning; there is a big difference between figuring out a problem and thinking and simply knowing the answer because you had memorized it.

Continuing Education And A Further Education Qualification
It happens all the time. A young person drops out of school or college, and at first, doesn’t regret the decision. But as the years go by and people progress into better salaried jobs, the young person feels left behind. Continuing education lets you make up for lost time.
Consider these facts. People who do not have a further qualification are more likely to be unemployed. That’s not surprising since many jobs these days require that you’ve graduated high school. By exploring continuing education opportunities and receiving your diploma or passing the GED, you’ll not only make more money, you also will have more job opportunities.

Nursing Continuing Education – Keep Yourself Updated
With many degree programs once the person is done with school that is it – they are free to join the workforce. This concept isn’t true for nurses though as they have to continue their education on a regular basis in order to ensure they are able to provide the best level of care possible to their patients. In almost all states they have to engage in a set amount of training in order to maintain their registration.
Being a nurse is a job that continues to evolve because of the many advances in technology. The methods of providing treatment, surgical procedures, and even the medications prescribed have significantly changed for the better over the years. Ask any nurse and she will tell you of the many changes she has seen over the span of her career. Each nurse has the responsibility to keep current on these changes as they will affect her patients.
